Kirson & Fuller Staff Participates in The OCBA LawDay 5k

April 20, 2018 in News

On April 7, 2018, The Elder Law Center of Kirson & Fuller served as sponsors for the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA) 4th Annual OCBA Law Day 5k Run & Walk with the scenic race course running through the beautiful Lake Baldwin Park. The Law Day 5k Run/Walk is an event that supports free civil legal aid programs and attracts runners and walkers from the Orange County and Central Florida legal community. All proceeds raised benefited the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association, Inc. and the Orange County Bar Association Foundation, Inc.

The Orange County Bar Association Foundation focuses on community education. From the consequences of one’s actions, to how the judicial system works, to supporting the local schools, to mentoring, the Foundation helps citizens gain a better understanding of the judicial system.

The primary purpose of the Legal Aid Society is to provide quality legal services for the low-income residents, the working poor, children, and disadvantaged groups with special legal needs in Orange County, Florida, and to assist in providing legal aid services to similarly situated residents of neighboring counties through an effective and fiscally sound program through the combined efforts of staff and pro bono attorneys.

Our very own Associate Attorney Christian Horde ran alongside several other firms and organizations in support of legal aid programs. A big Congratulations to all of the runners/walkers, you all did an amazing job!
