Wills for Heroes Event – Saturday, May 11, 2019

May 9, 2019 in News

The Young Lawyers Section of the Orange County Bar Association will host its Third Annual Wills for Heroes Event on Saturday, May 11, 2019. Each year, members of the Orange County Bar Association volunteer their time to give back to Central Florida’s veterans and first responders – our local heroes. The volunteers will meet with the heroes and draft, witness, and notarize simple estate plans for them. Local veterans and first responders will receive a complete Last Will and Testament, Durable Power of Attorney, and Health Care Surrogate/Living Will free of charge as a thank you for their service and commitment to our community. Approximately 300 heroes are expected to attend and many more are on the wait list.

The Elder Law Center’s associate attorney, Kate Wakeman, assisted with preparation for the event and will attend the event on Saturday to assist our local heroes with their estate planning needs.

Thank you Kate Wakeman for all your hard work in supporting our local first responders – our local heroes.
