Congratulations to Best Buddies!

June 10, 2021 in News

A special congratulations to the Best Buddies program of Orlando on a successful 2021 Friendship Walk, which took place Saturday, May 1st at Old Town in Kissimmee, FL.

The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is a movement supporting the inclusion of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) – one friendship, one job, and one life changing connection at a time.  The Elder Law Center of Kirson & Fuller have been long-term supporters of Best Buddies.  This year UCF and Titusville High School benefited directly from the firm’s support.  Best Buddies was able to raise significant funds, which will help sustain and expand their program.

The Best Buddies program is the largest international nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a universal volunteer campaign that creates positive opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). With their commitment to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of over 200 million people with IDD; their program aids in motivating individuals with IDD by helping them form meaningful friendships, secure successful jobs, live independently, improve public speaking, self-advocacy and communication skills.

We at The Elder Law Center of Kirson and Fuller are proud to continue to champion for the Best Buddies program.
