July 2018 Spotlight Client
We are proud to say that we have simply amazing people in our family of clients. Each month we take time out to shine a spotlight on our clients’ accomplishments, passions and heritages.
Please help us recognize, Ursula Shobe and her son John, as our Spotlight Clients for July 2018. After a long, diverse and interesting life as a military wife, I found myself at age 58 as the sole caretaker of our autistic son. This brought about many worries and questions about our future. I was very fortunate to meet Heather Kirson who has supported and guided us through the guardianship process and my estate planning needs.
John was diagnosed with Autism and the prognosis to stay illiterate for the rest of his life at age 6. Today at age 49, John is fluent in reading and writing in 2 languages and has his high school diploma. He enjoys playing piano, theater, horseback riding, tennis, swimming, golfing, skiing in the Alps and traveling. He was also honored for 20 years of service at Publix, as well as most advanced handicapped person by Military Europe. John is my pride and joy.
My son and myself are eternally grateful to The Elder Law Center of Kirson & Fuller for having found a support that enables me to fall asleep at night and feel secure in the knowledge that he is taken care of, whenever I am no longer able to take care of him myself.
It has been our pleasure to be able to serve Ursula and John. To show our appreciation for their trust in us, we have made a $100 donation to Best Buddies of Central Florida.
