June 2017 Client Spotlight

June 5, 2017 in News

Please help us congratulate the Elder Law Center’s Spotlight Client for June, 2017, Richard I. Ream. Born in Ohio, Richard moved to Pittsburgh as an infant. At age 18 he was drafted into the Army. He served in World War II and was stationed in Italy. Richard married his high school sweetheart, Betty Brown, and they proudly had two children, Donna & Bruce, and two grandchildren. After 35 years of working at International Harvester, Richard decided to semi-retire and move to Florida with Betty. Loving the new Florida lifestyle, the Reams found particular joy in West Oaks Mall’s Walking Club where they were members for 20 years and logged over 5,000 miles!

After 65 years of marriage, Betty passed away from Alzheimer’s disease this past October. Richard remains active with his friends and recently was invited to participate in the Central Florida Honor Flight trip to Washington, DC as a WWII Veteran. At 91 years young, Richard has three trips planned over the next 12 months and is an inspiration to us all! We have loved being able to assist him in setting up his Estate Plan. To show our appreciation for his trust in us, we will be making a $100 donation to an organization close to his heart, Honor Flight Central Florida. Thank you Richard for being a joy to work with!
