Established in 1986, The Florida State Guardianship Association (FSGA) is a 501c3 non-profit organization. FSGA is the premier statewide organization promoting and supporting excellence in the practice of guardianship and is the voice advocating for the incapacitated and their guardians.
They are dedicated to the protection of the dignity and rights of incapacitated persons and to increasing the professionalism of guardianship through education, networking and legislative action.
The 31st Annual conference took place in Orlando from July 19-21st. Representing The Elder Law Center of Kirson & Fuller were two of our Guardianship Paralegals, Tomeeke Hayes and Maricarmen Garcia. They were able to attend some of the many classed offered over the weekend-long conference such as, Guardian Advocate for the Developmentally Disabled, Dischrge Procedures for Terminating a Guardianship, and the Revised Federal Regulations when advocating for Nursing Home Residents’ rights, just to name a few. Great work Tomekee and Maricarmen!
At The Elder Law Center of Kirson & Fuller, we believe in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development through continued education for all of our employees.
