The Elder Law Center of Kirson & Fuller will serve as sponsors will serve as a Table Captain at the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association’s Annual Breakfast of Champions.

Attorney Heather Kirson and Attorney Renee Peppy have long been supporters of Legal Aid, having served as a pro bono attorneys and Attorney Peppy with its Guardian ad Litem program. As a Guardian ad Litem, Renee makes sure that the juvenile dependency system works in the best interests of children in foster care. Recently, both Heather and Rennee were acknowledged by the Florida Supreme Court for having logged significant time of pro bono services through Legal Aid last year.

The Legal Aid Society was begun in the early 1960’s as a volunteer organization by attorneys who were members of the Orange County Bar Association. Its primary purpose is to provide quality legal services for the low-income residents, the working poor, children, and disadvantaged groups with special legal needs in Orange County, Florida, and to assist in providing legal aid services to similarly situated residents of neighboring counties though an effective and fiscally sound program through the combined efforts of staff and pro bono attorneys.

Now in it’s 10th year, the Breakfast of Champions is a benefit breakfast to raise funds and raise awareness of what the Legal Aid Society does in our community. The Breakfast is not just for lawyers, but also for business owners and community leaders who understand the benefit that the Legal Aid Society provides to Central Florida. The meal is free, but you will be asked to make a donation to support the agency.
