October Spotlight Client

October 1, 2020 in News

We are proud to say we have simply amazing people in our family of clients.  Each month we take time out to shine a spotlight on our clients accomplishments, passions and experience.  Please meet Ruth Donna Lee Copeland Fraser.  Donna was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 17, 1923. Her parents, Rhoda Belle and Marvin Munger Copeland, moved from Salem, Missouri to Detroit to find work in the automotive industry. Donna was the baby of the family with three older brothers.  She took tap dance lessons before she started kindergarten and continued into her teens.

Donna taught and performed until she went to work for an insurance company where she met the love of her life William (Bill) Fraser.  They were married June 14, 1947 and celebrated sixty-six years of loving each other and caring for their family.  Donna enjoyed working in retail, which led her to work for the Dennis Uniform Company, covering a large portion of central Michigan.  Donna had the chance to teach high school students how to run a business as a Para Professional at Harrison High School in Farmington, Michigan.  She loved teaching them about marketing, purchasing, advertising, and in- store displays in the school Book Store. When Bill retired, he and Donna moved to Orlando to be closer to their family.  Donna was very active in the women’s bible studies and helped organize a very successful bazaar that brought women together crafting and creating for many years.

Upon the passing of her beloved husband, Donna lived with her daughter Sandee and her son-in-law, Roland, enjoying many family outings and get togethers.  With four great-grandsons, Donna has watched many football, baseball, soccer, and tennis matches. She adores her granddaughters and their husbands.  Donna is currently living with her son, Bill, and they are busy keeping each other company.

Donna recently retained the Elder Law Center of Kirson & Fuller for legal assistance.  When you need to call on someone who can guide you through the mountainous amount of paperwork and explain what you are reading, it relieves the fear and stress of doing something wrong.  She and her family are very grateful for how caring and understanding everyone at the firm is.

The team at Kirson and Fuller have been a tremendous support for the entire family through this time of planning for Donna’s future.
