Renee V. Peppy, Esq. Gets “Locked Up” for Muscular Dystrophy Fundraiser

May 22, 2017 in News

The Muscular Dystrophy Association works in Orlando and all across Florida to help families in our community living with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related life-threatening diseases that limit muscle strength and mobility. To support efforts to give these families the care they need and fund research to find cures and treatments, our own Renee V. Peppy, Esq. has accepted the honor of participating in MDA’s Lock Up on June 21st, 2017.

Help her make bail by reaching her fundraising goal – to help send children, like Bryce, to MDA Summer Camp.

Meet Bryce

MDA Summer Camper

“I want to walk, I want to run, I want to play sports, I want to be a normal kid. Camp allows me to do my version of walking, running and playing all sports. I feel free,” Bryce, 13, explains. Bryce enjoys playing in the hockey tournament. He says it’s a time where he doesn’t have to just sit and watch his school friends play sports. He actually gets to be part of the action. “I love camp so much. I look forward to it all year and I literally at times ‘live’ for camp. I feel so confident and ‘normal’ when I am at camp.”

MDA Summer Camp is a place where kids with life-threatening muscle diseases can enjoy barrier-free fun, develop lifelong friendships and gain confidence and independence. I hope I can count on you to make an impact in our community together and help send these kids to camp — or, as the kids often say — the “best week of the year.”
